Overview
Vector is an open-source issue tracker for one team or one business. Every report that comes in gets a clear decision, and everyone sees what is happening now, what is next, and why. You run it yourself, it is free, and the source is MIT licensed.
How it fits together
- Current is the team's shared list. Each open issue sits in one section: Needs decision, Now, Next or Recently done.
- Needs decision holds what has come in and not been decided yet. Someone makes the call: accept it, defer it to a set time, or decline it with a reason. See Decide what comes in.
- My work is your open work: everything assigned to you that is not finished yet.
- Issues and the Board let you browse, filter, sort and group all the work, and save the views you use.
- Projects and Cycles group work toward a goal and a stretch of time. Unfinished work rolls into the next cycle when one ends.
- Inbox collects your assignments, mentions, comments on issues you follow, and deferred reports coming back.
- Settings is where you invite people, set the workspace time, and look after teams, workflows, labels, projects and cycles.
Every change to an issue is kept in its history: who changed what, from what, and when.
